Nursing

Mission Health is committed to growing the best nurses to be at each patient's bedside. Nurses must embody compassion and courage and also possess the technical skills required to provide outstanding care. A life-long passion for learning leads to excellence in practice and to provide this, our nurses must have access to continuing education.
In order to ensure that we have the best trained nurses, we must invest in our nurses by the following opportunities:

  • Professional Development (nursing education/travel; posters, podium, & research presentations)
  • Board Written Certifications (review courses)
  • Nursing Leadership Academies (Nurse Directors, Nurse Managers, Nursing Unit
  • Supervisors/Charge Nurses)
  • New Graduate RN Residency (ANCC certified new graduate residency program)
  • Periop 101 Orientation Residency (ASPAN training modules)
  • Career Progression Specialty Experiences:  Sr. Nursing Student Practicum and Special New Hire Group Cohorts
  • Advanced Practitioner Transition to Practice Program
