Cases For Support

At Mission Health, critical funding needs, also known as cases for support, are the strategic needs of the six-hospital-wide Health System. As a not-for-profit organization, Mission Health reinvests all funds back into the healthcare system to continually support excellence in meeting the needs of the 879,000 western North Carolinians served annually.

Mission provides high quality and compassionate healthcare regardless of ability to pay. The current healthcare landscape is shifting dramatically, and Mission must stay well-positioned to manage overall population health for the communities it serves while also leveraging virtual care approaches that make access to care easier and more affordable.  The generosity of our donors ensures that we can continue to deliver our services and remain the essential safety net for the 18 counties of western North Carolina. Given the needs of our increasingly complex patient population, philanthropy is a critical investment in assuring that Mission can continue to deliver the highest quality services in a way that makes the most sense economically and assures an exceptional patient experience
